MCS is seeking that individual that understands that “Your Mental Health is the Foundation of Your Transformation” to join our culturally diverse mental health practitioners. We are URGENTLY seeking mental health practitioners for the following States:  Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Washington D.C, & Florida. Our MA and CT waitlist continues to grow as our clients are patiently waiting to meet you.

MCS Candidates will be able to:

  • Engage in multicultural perspective individual & group therapy

  • Provide services via telehealth 

  • Fully licensed clinicians are preferred but not required.

  • We highly encourage provisionally licensed clinicians to apply

  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field

  • Full and part-time positions are available​. 

  • Independent Contractor

  • Salary Range: $45.00 - $65.00 per billable hours (pay rate is based on licensure & Employment status of W9 or W2)

Internship

What Kind of learning opportunities will I engage in?

  • Family centered work - youth mentoring, parent support
    Research & Development for best practices in addressing diversity inclusion and equity; consultation and organizational best practices in employee engagement, job wellness and best practices

  • Develop engagement in cultural competency training & workshops

  • Graduate students can be engaged in clinical practice with individuals, families and couples

  • Learning clinical writing for notes

What are some day to day activities would be doing? Some example of work you will be engage in are:

  • Creating groups and co-facilitating with a multicultural center approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and strength-based perspective.

  • Creating group calendars and workshop development

  •  Identify case management for clients to provide referrals, mindfulness practice skills, and follow-up communication.

  • Be given feedback from weekly supervision

  •  Creating group calendars and workshop development

Responsibilities:

 

  • Engage in multicultural perspective individual & group therapy as a master’s level student intern

  • Facilitate youth and adult workshops on various life skills and mental health awareness

  • Facilitate the clinical management of patients through the process of evaluation, diagnosis, consultations, and referral to the appropriate resources

  • Provide individual, group, family, and couple’s therapy, and crisis intervention as a master’s Level Student Intern

  • Identifies and monitors high-risk patients and expedites an individualized crisis management plan with appropriate community referral

  • Create individualized treatment plans according to clients’ needs and circumstances.

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality

  • Be available to work some evenings
